The following videos are selections from recent presentations by the Tewksbury Historical Society.   We are also pleased to present several videos created by the Town of Tewksbury History Committee in 1985/1986 for the purpose of documenting the photographic history of our town.

Each of these items are presented here in a low quality format to help speed the download of these movies.  The full size and highest quality videos are available in VHS or DVD from the Tewksbury Historical Society Online Store.


 

June 24, 2004 - 7:00pm - Tewksbury Senior Center
Town Historian and Tewksbury Historical Society Board Member Warren Carey hosted a presentation about the Tewksbury State Hospital and its rich history.   The program was developed in part by Emmett and Mary Kennedy Millett, Leonard Haines, Duncan Hazel, and Michael Kelley.   The presentation included speakers who worked at the hospital as well as a slide show and ongoing discussion of approximately sixty of the best and most historic hospital images dating from the late 1890s until the mid 1960s.

April 29, 2004 - 7:00pm - Tewksbury Town Library Auditorium
Mr. Keith Rauseo presented a biography of "General Adelbert Ames" to a large audience of society members, the general public, and a few civil war buffs thrown in for good measure!.
