The “Man behind Tewksbury’s “Castle” was written by Bob Morris and appeared in the Tewksbury Town Crier on February 8, 1973. This story provides a glimpse into the life of “the last surviving Union General from the Civil War, and one of the most prominent men in Tewksbury and American History”, resident Adelbert Ames.
